Michael Jarmana may not be as well known a name as other major names in business and commerce, but his is one that is synonymous with the creation of one of the most innovative and highly effective sales systems that graced the energy industry. Following he deregulation of the energy market in the USA, Michael Jarmana like other salespeople and companies was faced with the challenge of selling energy contracts to consumers that had no previous experience of choosing the most appropriate contract for them. Prior to deregulation, every consumer was forced to take their energy contract from their local supplier.
Michael Jarmana, therefore, first had to educate his potential clients with regards to the industry as a whole and the contracts and energy companies that he represented; something he evidently excelled at. During his pomp, Michael Jarmana was responsible for selling over 100 energy contracts every single week from the initial call right through to the closing of the deal and beyond. At this time, it was virtually unheard of for a single salesperson to sell more than 20 to 25 contracts in a week.
Having almost perfected what became known as the Green Light System, Micheal Jarmana set his sights higher and established the energy sales business called Stream Energy. Among other accomplishments, Stream Energy was chosen as the sales representative for the world’s largest energy supplier Suez Energy. Stream also grew to have an annual revenue of more than $1bn per annum after just four years; a major accomplishment that is matched by very few companies in the world.
